As an Accounting Associate, you will:
• Accounts Payable
o Set up new vendors.
o Enter weekly accounts payable invoices and expense reimbursement requests into the financial accounting system.
o Print weekly checks and distribute the checks to the payee as directed.
o Maintain the accounts payable paid files.
• Corporate Credit Cards
o Download the monthly corporate credit cards and prepare the monthly expense workbooks for staff.
o Prepare the coding the for the Wish Family and Airline statements.
o Obtain all expense reports and receipts from staff – reviewing for completion and accuracy.
o Prepare monthly journal entries.
o Maintains the corporate credit card files.
• Donor Care
o Set up or update donor records.
o Create and enter gift batches in the donor database system.
o Download online donations for various internal events.
o Research and gather donor information from donation processing websites and Facebook.
o Prepare gift imports as directed by Director of Operations.
• In-Kind Donations
o Calculate in-kind donations from national and local sponsors.
o Create and enter gift batches in the donor database system.
• Office Administrator
o Acts as back-up to the Office Administrator – greeting visitors and covering incoming calls.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in data entry and/or as accounting clerk.
• Proficient in Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce or a donor data management system preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs, especially Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Able to learn new software programs quickly.
• Demonstrate the ability to focus on details and prioritize multiple tasks and duties – effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to motivate, support and work directly with a diverse constituency.
• Establish and maintain filing systems.

• Competitive salary – $35,000 – $37,000 per year
