The SPARK Awards 2020: Nuanqiu Hou

Congratulations to Nuanqiu Hou for receiving The SPARK Awards 2020 Individual Collegiate Award for their philanthropic work in our community.
 
A Rhodes College student from Shenzhen, China, Nuanqiu is working on a Bachelor’s of Science in Neuroscience degree and minor in Health Equity. Nuanqiu is a volunteer with Methodist Hospice Residence and Home Hospice and in May, signed up to become a crisis counselor with Crisis Text Line. She has also helped form a service coalition between Memphis colleges and donated over 1,000 masks earlier this summer, as well as organized a webinar series on systemic racism in July 2020.
